On the back of their visit to Lifeskills Bendigo last month, members of Ambulance Victoria came out to Lifeskills Bundoora to talk about how to make calls to 000, what to tell 000 operators in order to get the right help, and how to avoid heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Justyna and Sean demonstrated the recovery position, played an example of a 000 call and went through the steps people can take to make their house easier for paramedics to find in an emergency. Participants then learned the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and were given a goodie bag with equipment to help them perform CPR.
Thank you to Ambulance Victoria for providing these important sessions and resources.
