Lifeskills has a range of supports designed to help you develop independence to the best of your ability. Budgeting, food preparation, cooking, travel training, personal development and community engagement are just some of the supports we have to offer. While these activities are usually offered in as group setting either on campus or in the community, they are also available one-to-one (head to the One-to-One page to find out how).
The Lifeskills Garden
Strawberries, potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and much, much more are planted throughout the year on-site at Lifeskills Bundoora.
Cooking
Participants use an easy-to- follow recipe to shop for ingredients then prepare food for cooking.
Writing shopping lists, calculating costs and looking for key ingredients are all part of the process.

Taking place on campus, this is your chance to develop the skills you need to help you live your best life!
Volunteer Work
Through links with the local community and La Trobe University, Participants enjoy a range of volunteer work opportunities. This work helps to build skills that arm Participants with the tools they need in the workplace.
Conversation Skills
Work on skills to help you speak with other people. Learn how to ask questions, make clear statements and listen effectively.
