As we approach the end of an excellent year, I wish to extend my congratulations to all Participants on your achievements across Bendigo and Bundoora – thank you for choosing Latrobe Lifeskills and for supporting one another on your journey of growth, education, and connection. I have seen many personal growth in you, and may we continue to foster your choice, learning, and positive experiences.
To the families, parents, carers, and our professional networks, I bid you all our warmest gratitude. Through all the complexities of navigating the NDIS, we have had a year filled with challenges, wins (big and small), and great partnerships. It has been a successful year for Latrobe Lifeskills, thanks to your valued contributions and endless support.
Lifeskills’ Management Team (Tammy, Daniel, Jacqui, and Melinda Sutton, our recently promoted Team Leader) are poised, dedicated and ever ready to support you with exceptional service and unwavering support into next year. As Managing Director and CEO of Latrobe Lifeskills, I am proud of their achievements alongside our multi-skilled, outstanding, and growing staff teams.
I extend my special thanks to La Trobe University’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor John Dewar AO, for his support and encouragement over the past decade (12 years to be exact!).
Professor Dewar has shown great support, interest and kindness toward the Participants and Programs at Latrobe Lifeskills. We wish John all the best in his future endeavours, and we know he will be sorely missed. We also welcome the incoming Vice-Chancellor Professor Theo Farrell who, without a doubt, will build upon John’s extensive legacy.
On behalf of our staff teams, we look forward to 2024 with excitement, optimism, and creativity. Wishing you a safe, restful, joyous, and rejuvenating break over the festive season.
See you on January 8th for another year of goal-kicking achievements and success!
Our 25th Year journey is only the beginning of greater things to come.
