Latrobe Lifeskills Participants Spend a Day at the Victoria Police Academy!

Participants had the incredible opportunity to explore the Victoria Police Academy with Latrobe Lifeskills, gaining firsthand insight into the world of law enforcement. From witnessing the graduation ceremony, complete with the iconic police band and mounted branch, to trying on police vests and testing handcuffs, the day was filled with interactive learning and laughter.

A simulated arrest provided participants with a glimpse into the protocols followed during law enforcement operations, highlighting the challenges officers face daily. Visiting the domestic violence unit offered a sobering look at the complexities of handling such cases, emphasizing the vital role of law enforcement in ensuring community safety.

Throughout the tour, participants engaged with officers, gaining valuable perspectives and experiences. The tour with Latrobe Lifeskills provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of policing, fostering appreciation for the dedication of those who serve and protect our communities.

 

Latrobe Lifeskills’ Managing Director & CEO, Martin Chua, thanks and congratulates, Whittlesea Police Local Area Commander, Inspector Chris Allen on another successful Police Academy experience. Inspector Allen synchronised the Police Academy Graduation Ceremony, Mounted Police branch, Victoria Police Pipe band, and Transport Unit to create an ‘experience of a lifetime’ for the Lifeskills Participants.
