Latrobe Lifeskills is hosting a five week “Families as Planning Partners Course” run by VALID from August 1st to the 29th. The course is being attended by 14 parents from Latrobe Lifeskills and the broader community.
Aims of the families as Planning Partners Course focus on:
- Assisting parents/families of people with disability to get updated on the many changes in the disability services area.
- Assisting parents and families to get ready for transition to the NDIS(National Disability Insurance Scheme) through planning for now and the future.
- Explore how the NDIS individual funding and support could work for them
